How to celebrate Christmas with a dolphin theme.
If you look carefully, you can find all sorts of knick-knacks for your dolphin lovers, but can you find enough for the holiday season? The answer to that question is yes! Some of you may be thinking, why dolphins for Christmas? Well, not everyone in the world has the privilege of having a white Christmas, and our love for dolphins comes from a number of different inspirations. Some of you world travelers out there may be in love with dolphins from swimming with dolphins in Cancun. Regardless, here are a number of different ways you can have a dolphin themed Christmas.
First, you can start with the Christmas tree, which are decorated with ornaments. And what a perfect way to show your love of that dolphin swim by having a dolphin ornament to hang this year on your Christmas tree. You can even use wrapping paper and wrap your gifts with little dolphins on them. Thinking of the inside of your house, you can do a number of activities dolphin themed, especially with kids. Have you ever painted your own winter holiday Christmas coffee mugs? That is a lot of fun to do with the kids. Yes, it can get messy, but you can pull up an example picture for you and the kids and have a paint/art contest on who paints the best coffee mug, where everyone wins! The winners of the art contest, all of you, get to bake cookies. There are these dolphin shaped cookie cutters that you can buy online. Make your favorite holiday cookies, but instead of keeping the regular shape, make them dolphin shaped with a new cookie cutter. They are so fun! You can also put the chocolate chip as the eyes of the dolphin cookies.
Thinking about decorating the outside of your house for Christmas, you can try to find a wreath that is dolphin shaped, and if not, you can make your own! Wreaths are actually very easy to make. All you need is some sticks, string, maybe a couple of colorful wraps, and you can make your own wreath that is dolphin shaped. The great thing about dolphins is that they have a relatively easy shape, so it shouldn’t be too hard. As far as Christmas lights go, if you want to be the boldest neighbor in the neighborhood, instead of making Christmas lights in the shape of Santa Claus’s reindeer, you can make replace the reindeer with Santa Claus’s dolphins! I think this would be a great attraction of the neighborhood, very original, and something the whole family can help with making Santa’s dolphins come to life!
With people’s love for dolphins, it may seem hard to relive your memories of interacting with dolphins, but with a couple of these ideas brought to fruition in your house this Christmas, you can be doing the dolphin swim year round! Have fun and take lots of pictures!
